RotaWeb Interactive Web System for Rotary Districts |
|||||
The Speakers Bureau Module of RotaWeb gives a way to the Districts to build a database of speakers for club programs. The entries must be submitted by Rotarians (after they heard the speaker) using an online form. After submission, an email is sent to the Speakers Bureau Administrator for review/publishing. End users can search the Speakers Bureau database and get the displayed information for what they are looking for. Each entry is listed for one year. Before it expires, some automatic renewal emails are sent to the speaker to make sure they still want to be listed. This also makes sure that the information on the website is no more than one year old. The system is completely automatic. Once it is set, it requires very little maintenance. After the listing is published by the administrator, the user receives a transaction receipt by email, and it contains a special link with a password to let them go back and make changes to their listing. Every further correspondance by email will contain a summary of the current listing information, so that the user can see if corrections are needed. A special line of code can be added to any web page to insert a random listing from the Yellow Pages database. This is a great way to show your clubs that there is a Speakers Bureau database they can search. You can display these listings on your District home page, or on other key locations. These random listings are also displayed on the Speakers Bureau main page, where the end user has to go to do a search. Any Rotary District can signup to use this system, for a $75 setup fee, and $120 per year hosting fee. The web pages are hosted on the RotaWeb web server. You can easily link to these web pages from your own District Website. All the pages are customized to use a template to make it look like your own District Website.
